Nov 17: Speech-A-Thon Was Fun

Former member Tommy Lively attended the meeting.

 

I enjoyed last Tuesday night's meeting. The format was all prepared speeches (manual of course). The other normal features of the program were eliminated for this one night. Pat Quick, Bob Titiryn, John W., Tammy Bailey and I all gave prepared speeches. Theresa Eller presided and everyone else sat back, enjoyed, and provided written evaluations. 

Pat's excellent visual presentation took us to 10 places in the world not to visit. Bob had a moving story on mental illness. John told us all about closing the deal. My speech encouraged end of life planning and Tammy's winning speech motivated us as toastmasters.

This coming meeting may be even more fun as we dine on turkey and concentrate on impromptu speaking.
